Updated with new pics caught in their way to IDIADA Engineering and Homologation Center at Tarragona, Spain.

With the announcement of the official debut at the 2012 Detroit AutoShow, Hyundai continues the development of the Veloster Turbo, with the powerful 1.6 T-GDi engine with 208 hp, including a new nose with deeper front air intakes and front spoilers, hinting at its sporty nature.

Caught in South Korea, it will also benefit from aggressive new side skirts, while at the rear, the Veloster includes a pair of large exhausts will complement its already squat stance. Power will come from a 1.6-litre gasoline direct injection (GDi) engine, with forced induction boosting its power output 208 hp – 68 hp more than the standard version. Hyundai hopes it should be able to sprint from 0-62mph in 8.0 seconds, with a top speed of more than 130mph.
