This memorial weekend our friend Kyle Keenan was busy racing at the Pacific Raceway in Kent, Washington and he did an amazing job at the track.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]On Saturday’s Practice and Qualifying sessions Kyle Keenan did an amazing job with his #44 Kia Rio getting the fastest lap with the of 1:44.03 giving him the Pole Position in the B-Spec class.

The Sprint race on Sunday started with rain 30 minutes before the race. Kyle made the right choice to jump on the Hoosier H20 Rain tire, jumping him to the lead early on the race.

The rain didn’t stop the entire race and but that was no problem for Kyle, keeping his first position.

“I get more and more impressed with this car each and every time I drive it. Until this weekend, I had no rain practice with the Kia, but it’s handling in the rain was phenomenal. Kia Motors and Team KBR have built an absolutely fantastic car, it’s a real joy driving it around the track.” -Kyle Keenan

Monday’s Feature race had an intense battle between drivers Kyle and Derrick Ambrose both seeking the first position. The draft down Pacific Raceway’s .7 mile long front straight proved pivotal, allowing Kyle to draft past Ambrose towards Turn 2 on the last lap giving him another first place for this weekend race.

This will be his 3rd win of the season for Kyle, including his last race at Thunderhill Raceway Park in California, but are counting on him for another win on his next race.

The Final Rounds of the US Majors Tour brings teams to Portland International Raceway, Team KBR’s home track, July 4th through 6th.

Congrats Kyle, keep up with the excellent work! You are handling that Kia Rio really well. Looking forward to your next race my friend!
