Hyundai Motor plans to use i20 coupe to attack Europe’s B segment (compact car) market. I20 coupe is scheduled to be mass-produced starting from early next year. Hyundai Motor plans to release 2G i20 in November 2014 and i20 coupe in early next year.

The company recently unveiled a teaser sketch for the i20 coupe which has a sporty and differentiated design compared to existing five-door coupes.
According to Hyundai Motor Europe, the i20 accounted for 20 percent in Hyundai Motor’s sales in Europe last year. The i20 was sold 40,661 units in Europe during the first half of this year, ranking No. 12 among major compact car models there.
Hyundai Motor plans to leverage 2G i20 and i20 coupe to gain a larger share in the European compact car market.
