The Hyundai Tucson and the Kia Sportage are two SUV models that are known around the world, but the South Korean carmakers also has another two B-segments SUVs that are only available on BRIC markets, Brazil, Russia, India and China, like with the Hyundai Creta and Kia KX3.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]When the KX3 was launched, our readers commented about how ugly was, others expected to have available in European or North American markets, and the more astute said will be available only in China, but the future Sportage will drink from the design cues of this small SUV and that’s what happened.
About the Creta, with a more classic SUV look, it turned into the 1# model in sales at the Indian market. Hyundai launched the i20 Active (a rugged i20) for the European market in a way to retain customers looking for B-segment SUV until a proper SUV arrives in 2017 to Europe and US markets.
About Kia small SUV, looks like the sister brand decided to go in another way and will launch its first dedicated hybrid as a B-Segment SUV in 2016. It will be available with a Plug-in Hybrid after the launch.
