Hyundai Veloster Teased Again

After the Veloster was caught doing a promotional video and thanks to our friend SHM’s Studio, we can get access to see the rest of Hyundai Veloster’s official renders.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:6px;”]The long-awaited second generation Veloster is a sharp-designed sequel of the first-generation 2+1 doors model launched in 2011.

We all know about the polarizing design and criticized third door that drew so much attention to the model, and this will continue in the new generation model with more focus on sportiness as we can see on the un-camouflaged car above. In this picture we can see a two-tone look with a black roof and mirror caps instead of red body and an agressive two-tone alloy wheels.

For the local market, Hyundai will use a 1.4 Turbo GDi engine delivering 140 hp and a revised 1.6 Turbo GDi engine with final delivery to be confirmed, according to Hyundai this engine has been revised to be more powerful between 2000-4000 rpm range.

We are not sure about the final specs of the Veloster N, but probably will share the i30’s N engine, a 2.0 Turbo GDi delivering 250 hp (this engine could go up to 275 hp).

Both engines will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed Dual Clutch automatic transmission. Worldwide debut is set to held at the 2018 North American International Autoshow in Detroit, in January.
