After Kia has revealed a week ago the exterior design of the K3 GT hatchback, today we got exclusive pictures of the interior.
The K3 GT will use for the first time on a Kia GT compact the combination of the 1.6 T-GDi engine and the in-house 7-DCT automatic transmission (the other model to use it is the Ceed & Proceed GT).
The interior uses a D-cut steering wheel, and a few red stitches have been applied throughout the interior. Seats, gear knob and door trim were finished using red stitching. The GT logo is engraved on the back of the front seats. The GT logo was also engraved on the passenger’s side dashboard and is backlit.
The K3 GT will be available with four-door and five-door models. The front end has a dark chromed radiator grille with the addition of red points and the GT emblem on one side of the grille.
Exterior changes continues with a black painted high gloss exterior mirror cover, GT side seals molding and the 18-inch alloy wheels with red details.
The bigger differences come from the rear end, which has a coupe-style design combined with Black High Gloss rear spoiler and rear diffuser, and emphasizes the sporty feel with a dual muffler.
In terms of driving performance, the K3 GT is equipped with a 1.6-turbo GDI engine and a 7-speed DCT, delivering a maximum output of 204 horsepower and a maximum torque of 27.0 kgf · m.
Kia Motors hopes to strengthen its position in the domestic compact & sedan market by expanding the choices for customers with this two new variants.
