When we said that Hyundai and Kia were continuosly hard working to launch more powerful versions of their cars, we were not wrong. Today we have another proof, it looks Kia has almost ready the Forte Hatchback GT model for the US-market, that were spotted in South Korea.[ads id=”9″]
Based on the K3 Hatchback GT (as it is known in its local market) which was announced on mid September, today we can share with you the first spy pictures of the US-spec Forte Hatchbackk GT that been caught completely undisguised.
The K3 GT is available in South Korea with four-door and five-door models, it is pretty clear that Kia Motors America will offer on both bodyworks for the US-market if we attend to the spy shots we have seen from both models in USA and South Korea.
The front end has a dark chromed radiator grille with the addition of red points and the GT emblem on one side of the grille, as well as the orange indicator on the headlight which is the same used on the current Forte sedan.

The exterior changes on the Forte Hatchback GT, if you compare it with a normal Forte, continues with a black painted high gloss exterior mirror cover, GT side seals molding and the 18-inch alloy wheels with red details.
The bigger differences come from the rear end, which has a coupe-style design combined with Black High Gloss rear spoiler and rear diffuser, and emphasizes the sporty feel with a dual muffler.
In terms of driving performance, the K3 GT is equipped with a 1.6-turbo GDI engine and a 7-speed DCT, delivering a maximum output of 204 horsepower and a maximum torque of 27.0 kgf · m, so is expected to share the same powertrain for the US-spec model.
