Our colleagues at TopElectricSUV.com have captured the very first interior image of Kia first dedicated EV, codenamed as CV, showing two large displays at the front, one being the instrument cluster and the other the infotainment system. The displays would have a high resolution and are positioned on a panel to give the impression of a single seamless screen wrapping around the cockpit.

Kia Motors Europe released its EV Sales Growth Plan including additional information for the first of a new generation of EVs from Kia, to be introduced as soon as next year, on May. The Kia CV will have an unique platform, single-charge driving range of over 500 kilometres and sub-20-minute high-speed charging time.
The first of Kia’s next-generation EVs will be introduced to Europe on April 2021, constructed on a unique platform specifically engineered to accommodate the car’s world-leading EV powertrain and technologies. Not only will it offer a crossover design which blurs the boundaries between passenger and sport utility vehicles, as well as a future-oriented user experience.
It will also offer a single-charge driving range of over 500 kilometres, as well as sub-20-minute high-speed charging time. Kia Motors Europe will launch many of the brand’s future global EVs following the introduction of the brand’s maiden dedicated zero-emissions model in 2021.

We expected that the first model were based by the “Imagine by Kia” concept car, but looks like finally the one who reached green light was Futuron, a Coupe SUV electric vehicle showcased for the first time at 2019 China International Import Expo (CIIE) on November last year and premiered new Tiger Face design direction.
Following the launch of Kia’s maiden dedicated EV, set for April 2021, codenamed as CV, Kia will introduce several additional zero-emission vehicles from 2022 onwards, with their own EV-specific designs and a new user experience designed to make them even easier to live with day-to-day. But this model looks pretty advanced to be a model released later than the Imagine production version.
