For the market launch in August 2021, the new Hyundai STARIA will initially be available in the generously equipped Signature luxury bus variant. There is a choice of two versions with either front or all-wheel drive. Both have seven seats, a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and a powerful 177 hp diesel engine (fuel consumption in l / 100: low [short distance] 11.1-12.1; medium [outskirts] 8.5–9.0; high [country road] 7.2-7.4; maximum value [motorway] 8.6-8.8; combined 8.5-8.9; CO2 emissions in g / km: 222-232).
While the STARIA Signature with front-wheel drive will be available from 56,150 euros, the STARIA Signature with all-wheel drive will be available from 58,150 euros.
The STARIA Signature is already equipped with extensive comfort and technology features as standard: electric sliding doors on both sides, nappa leather seats (heated and ventilated), smart key system with start / stop button, ambient lighting in 64 selectable colors and sun blinds in the rear are among other things.
Further highlights of the new Hyundai STARIA are the multifunctional relax individual seats in the second row of seats included in the Signature equipment line. Here passengers can adjust the seat cushions, the backrests and the legrests electrically. The relax seats allow a relaxed lying position at the push of a button. There are USB ports in each row of seats for excellent connectivity. A 3-zone air conditioning system in the rear ensures that all occupants can travel at a pleasant temperature.
The “Passenger View” function includes a wide-angle camera with which the driver and front passenger can keep an eye on the rear passengers – mostly children. With the help of the infotainment system, all occupants can communicate via a hands-free system, while the standard Bose sound system with its 12 loudspeakers ensures an all-round high-quality sound experience. A navigation system including a 10.25-inch touchscreen, an equally large, fully digital cockpit display, an around-view monitor with 360-degree all-round visibility and the Bluelink telematics services round off the convenient features of the STARIA Signature.
Also on board as standard are intelligent assistance systems from Hyundai Smart Sense. These include, for example, an autonomous emergency brake assistant, an active blind spot assistant and an occupant alarm that warns the driver as soon as he locks the STARIA, but there are still passengers or other living beings in the rear seats.
The customer can supplement the extensive standard equipment with a panoramic glass roof (1,200 euros). There is also a choice of four interior colors and, for the outside, in addition to the standard color Shimmering Silver, the plain creamy white paintwork (330 euros) and five metallic / mineral effect paint finishes (950 euros).
In addition to the luxury version, the Hyundai STARIA will be offered in other versions from 2022. The prices then start from under 40,000 euros.
In addition to the passenger versions, Hyundai is planning to expand the van series with commercial vehicle variants. The introduction of environmentally friendly drives for the Hyundai STARIA is also planned.
