While yesterday we were talking about how similar it was the concept vehicle appeared on Hyundai Motor Group’s ‘Hydrogen Wave’ global virtual forum teaser video, to be held on September 7th, to the Stinger Midship test mule vehicle, today we have found at Bobaedream a new picture of the vehicle captured in South Korea.

This Stinger midship is a hydrogen-electric hybrid car, with a Stinger body. It is a test mule, currently Hyundai have built up to 5 pieces only for development purposes. The prototype has around 650 – 700 hp and has a fuel cell together with a big battery pack.

At first look you will think this is just a regular camouflaged Stinger, but looking closely you will notice a two air intakes in the rear door trying to be hided with the additional canvas.

The mysterious vehicle was caught in the street and despite we don’t know what this could be, we are completely lost. We don’t know if this model is a production vehicle, a race car or what. The only time we have seen a midship car was the RM series from Hyundai.

The Group will present its vision of a future hydrogen society by unveiling its exciting plans and business strategies for new hydrogen mobility technology, next-generation fuel cell systems and applications to diverse industries beyond automotive.

State-of-the-art future fuel cell electric vehicles – as well as other innovative applications – will be unveiled during the forum. Cutting-edge hydrogen application systems and products from the Group’s affiliates will also be presented at the exhibition, further showcasing and detailing how a hydrogen society can be formed and realized.

We wonder if this Hyundai Hydrogen concept is something related to that Stinger midship test mule, the similarities are clearly seen (bumper, lights, brembo brakes, mirrors, window line).
