We recently shared pictures of the IONIQ 5 N production ready prototype thanks to our colleagues at CarPIX, and also showed production wheels courtesy of our colleagues at ShortsCar, now it’s time to focus on this prototype captured in South Korea showing aggressive front & rear bumpers (still unknown if air intakes are real or not).
What we know so far?
Earlier sightings where all mules for the N version but this prototype now has the correct bodywork hiding under the sticker camouflage.
From the outside there are basically no visible changes except for the lower ride and the wider low-profile tires. The stiffer suspension and bigger brakes will help the Ioniq 5 N keep on track. The wider tires forced Hyundai to add some small fender flares on the wheel arches as we can see even if they don’t really look production ready.
We can see the deeper and sportier looking front spoiler in the overall more aggressive front fascia. At the back we can also see a large roof spoiler and what looks to be a diffusor in that rear bumper.
The mules already had a wider track and here on the production version the wider fenders are of course more integrated. These are needed in order to keep the big wheels and brakes under the body. Of course Hyundai has also worked on the suspension to match both the looks and power on the Ioniq 5 N.
We think that the N inspired camouflage is hiding some sportier looking bumpers in order to match the exterior with the expected power bump.
The interior will most likely also get a few N touches with sport seats and a sporty steering wheel and of course some N logos. Power will most likely be mirrored with the Kia EV6 GT meaning at least some 585 wild horsepower. Or do you think Hyundai has even more power planned for the Ioniq 5 N?
