Kia launched Sportage’s year-changing model ‘The 2024 Sportage’ in South Korea and added the 30th anniversary special edition model. The Sportage celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, since it was launched in 1993.
The 2024 Sportage features a new ’30th Anniversary Edition’ with a special trim that enhances convenience and safety by adding customer-preferred specifications, and enhanced design luxury in celebration of the 30th anniversary of its launch.
Kia has newly applied a single-row double-joined sounding glass to the entire trim of The 2024 Sportage, and the top-level trim, Signature has expanded the double-jointed sounding glass to two rows, further improving indoor comfort.
The 30th Anniversary Edition adds perfection by adding differentiated design elements based on the existing signature Gravity model. Kia has applied glossy black colors to the roof racks and outside mirror covers of the existing signature Gravity trim, while the garnish at the top of the radiator grille and the bottom of the front and back bumpers. Updated 19-inch wheels to realize the black concept with a strong feeling.
In addition, it features two indoor colors dedicated to the 30th anniversary edition, green and black, and maximizes luxury with leather seats with new quilting patterns and suede applications, while the driver’s and passenger headrests are equipped with the 30th anniversary logo to provide differentiated value.
The Sportage is available with a choice of petrol engines, the 1.6 Turbo gasoline engine with 180 hp, the Hybrid variant using the same engine and adding an electric motor with a total output of 230 hp, a 2.0 naturally aspirated engine with LPi technology and a 2.0 diesel engine.
For now, the 30th anniversary edition Sportage is only available in South Korea and it is still unknown if it will be offered overseas.
