Updated with first real-world pictures.
While yesterday we shared leaked Kia Sorento facelift teaser, today KIA released the very first official images without a press release, so the only thing we can show you is the pictures attached to the post. As we have advanced, Kia wanted to counterprogram the launch of the 5th generation Hyundai Santa Fe, they made it?
Today and thanks to our colleagues at KindelAuto, we can show you the first look inside the cabin without any camouflage. The Sorento facelift will use a new dual curved screen we already have seen in latest Kia models which is not a surprise.
The new Sorento will be the first model to follow Kia EV9’s design language so expect big changes in the front, applying similar vertical headlights as its big brother, where we can spot a new grille but also some new head lights.
On some of the photos we can see the new light signature thanks to the DRLs and that also tells us that the lights will be more vertical compared to the horizontal lights on the current model.
Of course there will also be a new designed front bumper to match the rest. At the back it looks like the rear lights will be pretty much carried over with a possible LED bar between the lights. There might also be some changes to the graphics.
The interior will probably get updated with a new screen and the latest versions of the infotainment systems. Also expect the latest levels of safety gizmos, new fabrics and a new steering wheel. Power will come from the same engines , just fine tuned for better fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Despite 5th gen Santa Fe discontinued the diesel engine, the updated Sorento will still use it.
