Revealed for the first time in June 2021, the South Korean carmaker is already preparing the Hyundai Santa Cruz facelift, but despite the recently facelifts made by Hyundai and characterized by a full makeover, this time Hyundai will be more conservative and will apply slight changes according to the very first spy pictures.

Captured inside a parking lot by our colleagues at WoopaTV, the updated Hyundai Santa Cruz was spotted heavily camouflaged so it is difficult to see differences. The only difference we can appreciate is a different front grille and new alloy wheels, but at the same time this is probably in an early stage of development so usually they doesn’t apply all the new parts.

Talking about the powertrain, we don’t expect many changes compared to the currently line-up despite a small fine-tuning to make the engines more efficient and probably adding a high demand hybrid powertrain could help the Santa Cruz return to a good level of sales.

As for the inside, looking at the recently launched Kona or Santa Fe, you can bet Hyundai will apply the same pair of screens under a curved glass as well as the latest safety and tech features including on demand features. It is difficult to know when Hyundai plans to release this facelift but we don’t expect it before Summer 2024 for the US-model. It is expected that Hyundai also release it in South Korea for the first time.
