Revealed for the first time in October 2016, the South Korean carmaker is already preparing a second facelift for the Hyundai i30 N, after looking to the spy photos published at LaffeyChino of a prototype caught in the streets of South Korea. This i30 N prototype shows several changes in the front bumpers while the rear remains the same.
Captured near Hyundai-Kia R&D Center, the updated Hyundai i30 N was spotted heavily camouflaged so it is difficult to see differences. We can only appreciate bigger differences that affect the front bumper design including new air intakes.Talking about the powertrain, we don’t expect many changes compared to the current line-up despite a small fine-tuning to make the engines more efficient and meet the increasingly demanding European emissions regulations. The 2.0 Turbo 280 hp will continue fighting to not being discontinued.
As for the inside, looking at the recently updated Hyundai models, you can bet Hyundai will apply the same dual screen curved glass system as well as the latest safety and tech features including on demand features, but we are not sure as this time it will be just an update. It is difficult to know when Hyundai plans to release this facelift but we don’t expect it before Summer 2024 in Europe and Australia. What do you expect for the updated i30 N?
