Hyundai Unveils new Avante N1 Cup Car

Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled the Avante N1 Cup Car, which will be newly introduced from the 2024 season of ‘Hyundai N Festival’, the largest one-make race in Korea.

Hyundai Motor Company announced that it unveiled the ‘Avante N1 Cup Car’ at the final exhibition of the ‘Hyundai N Festival’ held at the Korea International Circuit (KIC, located in Yeongam, Jeollanam-do) from October 28 (Sat) to 29 (Sun).

The ‘2024 Avante N1 Cup Car’, which will be used from the ‘Hyundai N Festival’ 2024 season, is based on ‘The New Avante N’. The new cup car features improved cornering speed and tire durability with wide tires compared to the existing Avante N cup car, and features improved air power performance with a new wide fender and front and rear bumpers.

The ‘2024 Avante N1 Cup Car’, which was unveiled this time, was also unveiled in China last week. Hyundai One-make vehicle was unveiled for the first time at the TCR China Zhuzhou Round held in Zhuzhou (Zozhou, southeast of China), and the N1 class will operate in China as well as in Korea from next year.

Till Wartenberg, managing director of Hyundai Motor’s N Brand & Motor Sports Division, said, “This year, athletes from various regions such as Europe, Korea, and the United States participated in the Nur 24th Nur 24th City Endur Race, and got good results. “We plan to announce Hyundai Motor’s excellence in the One-Make Race, which is scheduled to be held in various regions such as China and the United States. We will continue to strive to provide an environment where more people can enjoy motor sports culture in various regions.”

Meanwhile, in the final game N1 class of the ‘Hyundai N Fest          ival’, driver Kim Gyu-min won the championship and finished first in the season, and the DCT racing team also finished the 2023 season with a team-class overall title. In the N2 and N3 classes, top five and Oh Min-hong drivers won the season, respectively.

The ‘2023 Hyundai N Festival’ was held in 6 rounds of the sprint competition and 3 rounds of the time trial. The Sprint Was Conducted As ‘Avante N Cup (Pro Class, N1 Class)’, ‘Beloster N Cup (amatual Class, N2 Class)’, ‘Avante N Line Cup (introclass, N3 Class)’, And The Time Trial Class Was Separated From The Sprint Class And Was Conducted At Inje Speedium (in Je, Gangwon-do).

In this final match, Jeff Ricca, who won the 2023 SRO TC race, a famous U.S. touring car, with an Avante N vehicle, also appeared as a guest driver. Through this exchange, we plan to hold an Avante N One-make match with the same specifications in three countries, Korea, China, and the United States.
