kia sonet facelift teased

Kia has provided a sneak peek into the anticipated facelift of its compact SUV, the Sonet, through a teaser that offers a glimpse into both its exterior and interior updates.

The teaser image divulges a refreshed front profile of the compact SUV, unveiling an entirely revamped LED headlight setup that exudes a sharper aesthetic. Embracing new daytime running lights (DRLs), the front-end showcases a redesigned grille featuring augmented elements, presenting a larger appearance compared to its predecessor. Moreover, the updated front bumper seamlessly incorporates LED fog lamps, a noteworthy inclusion considering the recent trend of eliminating fog lamps among automakers.

While the teaser primarily focused on the front, it hinted at forthcoming alterations in the rear profile, hinting at new tail lights and a revamped bumper design. Additionally, expect a selection of new alloy wheels and color options to enhance the SUV’s overall appeal.

Inside the Kia Sonet facelift, the overall layout remains familiar, retaining the existing touchscreen infotainment system, albeit possibly incorporating minor UI enhancements. Anticipate encountering a new digital instrument cluster, mirroring the one found in the new Kia Seltos.

The range-topping variants are set to feature the coveted Bose audio system. Updates to the upholstery color schemes are likely, accompanied by a new mini display for the HVAC and revamped controls, contributing to an enriched interior experience.

Among the most significant updates, Kia plans to introduce Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Level 1 in the refreshed Sonet. This enhancement equips the vehicle with advanced safety features including Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, High Beam Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and more.

Engine choices will remain consistent, with available options comprising a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine generating 83 HP, a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine producing 120 HP, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine with an output of 116 HP.

Once launched, the Kia Sonet facelift is poised to compete with the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger in the compact SUV segment.

Stay tuned for further updates on the official unveiling and detailed specifications of the revamped Kia Sonet.
