Genesis today launched the latest iteration of its large luxury sedan, the G80, on December 26th, marking a significant step in the brand’s evolution.

The G80, first introduced in 2008 and evolving through its second generation in 2013, played a pivotal role in the launch of the Genesis brand in 2015. With the G80’s name adoption in 2016, it has sold over 400,000 units globally, contributing significantly to Genesis’s cumulative sales of over one million vehicles. Launched in March 2020, the third-generation G80 embodies Genesis’s commitment to “Athletic Elegance” in automotive design. This model has received global acclaim for its superior design, driving performance, and customer service. With its recent update, the G80 has further enhanced its sophistication, featuring intricate and opulent exterior details, a luxurious interior with high-tech elements, and a suite of convenient and safety features.

The G80 is priced at 58.9 million won for the 2.5 turbo gasoline and 65.5 million won for the 3.5 turbo gasoline. The Sport Package starts at 62.9 million won for the 2.5 turbo and 71.1 million won for the 3.5 turbo.
Genesis officials have expressed confidence that this enhanced product offering will solidify the brand’s position in the luxury sedan market. Additionally, Genesis offers a ‘recommended vehicle’ program to aid customers in their purchase decisions, featuring seven carefully selected option combinations.
