Hyundai Motor held N Festival back in December and unveiled the design sketches of the first one-make EV race car IONIQ 5 eN1 Cup car based on the ‘eN1 Class’. Today Hyundai N teased the final model set to be revealed in March 31st.
Designed with safety and light weight as a top priority, the ‘IONIQ 5 eN1 Cup Car’ features faster cornering speed and stability with dedicated race parts. With its enhanced air power appearance and amplified NAS+ (N Active Sound Plus), each team will provide a unique virtual engine sound that will bring new enjoyment to the audience in EV One-Make Race. In addition, the plan is to add fun to the game by making the N e-Shift, a virtual gear shift, available for real-world racing.

- – 200-250kg weight reduction compared to regular 5 N

- – NGB will be allowed when overtaking IONIQ 5 eN1 Cup car

It is expected that Hyundai finish the eN1 model development by February of 2024, while racing series will start on May 2024.
