Here we are with another interview for one excelent KDM owner and im sure it’ll be a great inspiration for many owners, not only for how quick this build has been done but also because its a female KDM owner. Its very rare see female modding their cars and to be KDM owner too.

Her car caught my attention very quick, its very clean and well built and when I found out who owned that it was even more awesome, and when I knew what she had waiting for her Sonata I knew I had to make an interview.
So without any further ado, lets meet Cristina McNamara!
Glad to have you at The Korean Car Blog, tell us about yourself
Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Fl. I’m 27 years old. Been into cars my whole life. I enjoy shopping and I’m a big Miami Heat fan.
How many cars have you owned so far?
Owned a 95 Eclipse, 2008 Nissan Altima, 2002 Lexus IS300, 2005 Acura TSX.
Have you modified any of those cars?
Yes, the eclipse.
When was the first time you heard or seen the Korean brand?
When I got my Hyundai Sonata in December of 2012.
What attracted you to Hyundai?
I was in the market for a new car and my little sister had purchased her sonata and it caught my eye. I went to a bunch of other dealerships such as Lexus, Mercedes, Audi and Nissan before the Hyundai dealer and after going to the Hyundai dealership I knew I would drive home a sonata that night. I got an amazing deal and they had the exact car I wanted fully loaded. I honestly really never thought I’d own a Hyundai lol.
What are the modifications done on your Sonata.
Car is wrapped in Satin Pearl White (original color is black), 20×9 all around Vossen CV3 wheels, MGP Caliper Covers, cross-drilled & slotted rotors, Accuair Stage 2 Suspension, 8000K HIDs and 6000K LEDs, glossy black painted grille and H Symbol and Black halo projector headlights w Audi LED angel eyes.
Since you have now modded your hyundai, what potential you see in it now?
Enjoying it! Just going to car shows and events and showing that girls can do it too.
Tell us what you love about your Sonata?
Love the features it comes with, the drive is smooth, very roomie, a very nice clean looking car.
Can you tell us into what trouble or advantage you went thru for been a girl in the car scene.
Honestly it’s been an awesome thing. I have met so many people who I now call friends since ive been in the car scene. Shows have been so much fun; I always have a great time. I’ve met a couple other girls in the car scene as well who understand my love for cars and modding mine. The guys are awesome they help out in any way possible, I’ve had a lot of my guy friends help with my modding process as well as suggestions and ideas, shops I’ve been to have been helpful and don’t take advantage of the fact I’m a girl they actually find it fascinating. It’s just nice to see so many people love and appreciate the work I have put into my car and just get wowed over the fact my car is girl owned.

Are you part of a car club?
No.
Do you usually work on your Sonata by yourself or someone else helps you?
Little things I’ll do here and there but mostly the big stuff has been shops and good friends.
What are the future plans for your Sonata?
Adding my lip kit. I haven’t really thought of anything else at the moment.
What advice would you give to all those ladies that desire to be on the car scene too.
Just be yourself! There will always be haters. Got to ignore other opinions and have pride in your accomplishments and what you do with your car cause at the end of the day they don’t drive it home, you do. Educate yourself; don’t be afraid to ask questions even if you think they’re stupid, learning is key. I’m a girly girl and love the car scene weather it’s getting dirty working on my car or showing it off at events, anyone can do it! Enjoy what you do; love what you do because at the end of the day it’s for you.
Congratulations for a very unique Sonata you have built. Any last words before wrapping up the interview?
Id like to thank all my friends who have helped me get my car to where it is today way to many of you guys to name haha. A big thanks to Signature Customs for the amazing wrap on my car, Vossen and Mrwheels for all the help with my wheels and tire needs. I appreciate all the hard work, dedication and love everyone has shown me. Also KDMStance for all the love and support with getting my car out there.
