The IONIQ 9: Hyundai’s Entry into the Large EV Market

The 9 represents Hyundai’s official step into the large EV market. By expanding its portfolio to include a three-row electric SUV, Hyundai is addressing the growing demand for electric vehicles that accommodate larger groups of passengers without compromising on comfort or design. This innovative vehicle is designed to provide the ultimate EV experience, with a strong focus on user comfort, advanced technology, and sustainable design.

A Lounge-Like Interior Experience

According to Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center, the interior is crafted to create a “lounge-like” experience, offering a sense of tranquility and relaxation. “IONIQ 9 offers the ultimate lounge-like environment,” Loasby stated. “Its nature-inspired, lounge-like interior reflects our progressive approach to envisioning technology, customer-centric design, and tranquility coming together seamlessly in the future of mobility.”

Progressive Design: Aerosthetic Silhouette and Spacious Cabin

The IONIQ 9’s design philosophy, referred to as ‘Aerosthetic,’ is centered around creating a sleek, aerodynamic profile that complements a spacious and user-friendly cabin. This unique design, coupled with Hyundai’s advanced Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), provides an exceptionally roomy interior with a flat floor extending across all three rows, allowing for easy movement and flexibility. This layout enhances accessibility and comfort, making the IONIQ 9 an ideal vehicle for larger groups or families seeking a luxurious yet practical EV.

Soft and Sophisticated Interior Elements

Hyundai has prioritized creating a peaceful atmosphere within the IONIQ 9. Soft, elliptical design features, such as door trim and handles, are carefully chosen to provide a calm and refined aesthetic. These elements not only elevate the visual appeal of the interior but also contribute to a sense of serenity, setting the IONIQ 9 apart from other SUVs in its class. The vehicle’s sophisticated interior highlights Hyundai’s commitment to blending advanced EV technology with a customer-centric design approach.

Accommodating Up to Seven Passengers

As a large, three-row electric SUV, the IONIQ 9 comfortably seats up to seven occupants. Hyundai designed the interior with versatility in mind, allowing each passenger to utilize the available space flexibly. The IONIQ 9’s spacious layout provides ample room for passengers and luggage, ensuring that it meets the needs of families and groups who desire both practicality and luxury in an EV.

A New Chapter for the IONIQ Lineup

The IONIQ 9 is a testament to Hyundai’s ambition to push boundaries within the EV industry. With its innovative spatial design and impressive electrification capabilities, the IONIQ 9 promises a customer experience like no other. The latest addition to the IONIQ family further establishes Hyundai’s position as a pioneer in the EV sector, setting new standards for comfort, design, and technology in electric SUVs.
