The 2012 Kia cee'd and the next Forte/K3, just the same car?.

Well, finally we known the 2012 Kia cee’d, and personally (maybe making the same question to yourself), maybe with this new C-segment compact occurs the same that with the 2012 Rio.

About the Rio, Kia has decided to sold differents versions as a global model, in Europe, with the 5-door hatchback and the 3-door, while in the US, sold also the 5 door-hatchback and the sedan. For that, might think that with the cee’d/Forte will be the same (that’s what I thought at first), but after watching the latest spy shots of the K3’s interior

, the steering wheel it’s the same used in the new cee’d, but the rest of what can be seen use a different design.

Looking this interior and comparing with the European new cee’d interior, we find some differences. The door panels, the dashboard or the air vents are different. The new Forte/K3 maybe will be ready for the 2012 New York AutoShow, held in April. About the engines, the 2012 Kia cee’d will be available in June with two petrol engines (1.4 Gamma 100 hp, 1.6 GDi 140 hp) and two diesel CRDi engines (1.4 and 1.6 with 90 and 126 hp, respectively). For the Forte/K3 we assume the 1.6 GDi engine, maybe the 2.0 GDi with 177 hp and well, dreaming at least about sport coupe version with the 1.6 T-GDi with 208 hp, used in the Veloster Turbo.

Will Kia dare to bring to market a sports version of the Forte Koup, with an engine to rise to the occasion?. Place your bets!
