Kia is confident that new products will help the it meet its aggressive sales target in Europe despite the region’s economic troubles. The brand’s model renewal, which began with the new Sportage SUV in 2010, will be completed by a new minivan set to go on sale next year, Paul Philpott, Kia Europe Chief Operating Officer, told Automotive News Europe.

After meeting at the 2012 Geneva International Motor Show, last Wednesday we attend the official event debut of the new cee’d at the Valgauto Motor Kia’s dealer in Alicante (Spain) and we could see and photograph it very closely.
Significant demand for Kia vehicles in Europe led the company’s European manufacturing facility in Zilina, Slovakia, to post record production and investment figures during 2011. The Kia facility produced more than 252,000 cars and 359,000 engines in 2011, representing increases of 10 and 12 per cent respectively over the previous year.
