The new cee’d family will be complete with a sporty 3 door — pro_cee’d – version earlier 2013, and today Kia publish the first official sketch of the next pro_cee’d.
Sketch reveals the basic features of the upcoming 3-door hatchback. Using the same front lines already see in his 5-door hatchback version (debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show), new pro_cee’d uses other significant resources – especially the lower body and the rear pillar.
Actually, the three-door model consists of 25% of sales for both the cee’d family, and Benny Oeyen, Kia Europe’s Vice President of Marketing and Product Planning hopes this ratio should be maintained with the new generation. In addition to the current range of the new cee’d 5-door petrol and CRDi engines (from 90 hp to 135 hp), could add later a turbocharged petrol 1.6 T-GDi, which can have up to 201 hp.

Unfortunately, I don’t think so. For US-market, few automakers sold 3-door hatchback, like the Volkswagen Golf GTi, the only hatch with 3-door version in the US it’s more usual see 3-door coupes, Honda Civic Coupe, Elantra Coupe, Scion tC and the hatch’s usually sold with 5-door.
