The engine capacity for its compact SUV has not yet been decided but Hyundai has a range of engine options in diesel and petrol ranging from 1.4 litre “Gamma” petrol to 1.6 litre CRDi diesel to choose from. It’s the platform that tends to eat up the biggest cost during development, with the under-body and suspension included. It also includes the chassis, engines, and powertrain options.

Hyundai’s research and development center in Hyderabad, India will support the designs and will give their input on what the Indian customer expects and prefers in a vehicle.
