The Hyundai Sonata Gets Another Update for South Korean Market

The Hyundai Sonata received a light facelift for the local market few months ago. But Hyundai still working further to improving the sedan, the results is that the South Korean carmaker launch in local market as the 2014 model year update.

The 2014 Hyundai Sonata gets added features without asking for more from customers. The visual differentiators of the car are very subtle, the front grill has redesigned slats and the taillamps get re-detailed elements including LED. The higher Modern range now can gets 18″ alloy wheels. 

In terms of equipment, the high-end Premium range comes with leather seats with heating option for the rear bench, JBL premium sound system, Flex Steer with three Steering Modes (Normal, Comfort & Sport), a 4.3″ LCD display in the centre console and powered passenger seat. 


Engines available continue with the 2.0 litre petrol motor and the 2.0 litre GDi direct injection turbo petrol. Without Turbo generates 172 hp while with it makes a healthier 271 horsepower. Both engines go with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. Prices starting at 20.4 million Won (around $18,200) to 27.9 million Won (around $24,800).
