Our spy photographers caught the first pictures of a Hyundai Genesis Coupe mule during his hot weather testing in the US. The next generation Genesis Coupe is shaping up with a chassis-testing-mule.
It’s moving away from a Mustang/Camaro style competitor, becoming more like a larger, more luxurious coupe. It looks like it might be turning into a true coupe version of the improved, and more upscale Genesis sedan. It remains rear wheel drive. We can expect the new Genesis Coupe as a 2016 model year. Stay tuned for more details soon!

And what about to have a lighter, and mechanically refined, true sports coupé?
Maybe in US marked could be interested in bigger cars with big blocks good only to go straight, but what about european and asian market in which a benchmark for this category is the GT86/FRS/BRZ?
We want a 2,600 lbs light coupe with refined mechanics (specially about manual transmission) and a small, light and powerful engine, like the 4 cyl. 1.6 and 2.0 turbo GDI…not those shits.
Kia was supposed to enter that market but is now hesitating due to the low sales in that segment, including the FRS/BRZ.
1.6 T Gdi of the Veloster Turbo is anything but sofisticated and refined , the power is not delivered and this car lacks a lot of power compare to Honda Civic SI !
More like the coupe version of the upcoming RWD compact sport sedan.
test mule ??? riiiiight !!! the only thing I see is the dual exhaust is not the same as the real Genesis coupe and maybe under the Hood maybe Turbo V6 or N/A V8 ?? and the Genesis Sedan Rims maybe it is in a shorter Genesis Sedan Chassis ??
