Now from China, the Veloster was spotted with a totally front end covered under camouflage. Hyundai will be preparing a light facelift to his 2+1 doors sports compact car, the Veloster. to keep it fresh for 2 or 3 years while wait to develop a next-gen or finally kill it at many rumors said.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]Based on the concept HND-3 launched in 2007, Hyundai finally decided to launch the Veloster as a production model during 2011, with a choice of two gasoline direct injection engines (GDi) one with turbo, delivering 140 and 201 hp (187 hp for the European market).
Looking at these pictures we can’t see many changes, only a new design alloy wheels. The Veloster is well camouflage but we can still see a new front grill, probably close to the latest Hyundai design. The rear bumper looks like a current Veloster Turbo. The Veloster is expected to have more light retouches at the front and rear bumper with some interior retouches as well. Stay tuned!
I think the biggest drawback for the Veloster was it’s lack of a second rear door. The hidden door concept was neat for a little when it was introduced, but it grew stale fast. As it is, the styling is polarizing the door only adds to it.Hyundai should have at least made a 5 door variant.
LOL, “I think the biggest drawback for the Veloster was it’s lack of a second rear door.” yeah, that’s it….. /facepalm. This car would become a legend if it did three things. Upgrade the engine to a 2.0 Liter, made the rear suspension independent and made it a 4 wheel drive. Unfortunately, making these changes would also add at least 4-5 thousand dollars to the price tag and bring it out of the price range for about 60% of it’s current customers. BTW, the third door is one of the reasons Veloster owners love this car. The notion that it polarizes people is pretty silly.
