Render: How the Next Generation Hyundai Elantra Will Look

With the next generation Hyundai Elantra starting its test from Death Valley to South Korea, today we want to share with you a render of how the new Elantra (called as Avante in South Korean local market) will look.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]And well, looking at the render and spy picture that shows how the front design will be, the next-gen Elantra (codenamed as AD) looks more like an improved design of the car than a totally different one.

Longer and wider, and with a more premium & bold design, we expected to be like the latest Hyundai Genesis and Sonata models, with an hexagonal front grille, an updated design fitted with more premium interior and latest infotainment and safety features.

At least, a very difficult task for Hyundai and Peter’s Schreyer chief designer to improve this good looking and one of the most succesful Hyundai’s models ever. And you, what do think?

Terrible. Looks like a poorly drawn Dodge Dart. I’ve never been to big a fan of Schryer and this isn’t helping change perspective.

That looks bloody awful. Reminds me of a stupid fish.

I am disappointed by the new generation Hyundai/Kia models. The new Sonata, next Optima and Elantra don’t look a lot different from the current models. Where’s Schryer’s creativity and passion gone? If I am buying a new car I expect it to look fresh and new, not something warmed over.

Disappointing design, where is the wind crafted fluidity type of design that you’ve become well known around the world, not its just a car for the oldies.

This new Elantra looks pretty plain. The front of it reminds me of a budget Lexus model or even a Ford Fusion. It’s disappointing that Hyundai is going back to designing “common” cars. I definitely prefer the aggressive look of their 2011-15 models…
