Hyundai Motor Group has begun making its presence known in the luxury car market by reporting that every one out of five people who have taken pre-orders on the Genesis EQ900, own a different brand car. This is a great sign for Hyundai’s premium sedan by it beginning to win over consumers to the Korean brand.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]Out of the pool of 7,571 customers that made pre-orders for the EQ900, 20 percent of these people currently own another brand luxury car. Further research shows that out of the same group, 13 percent are owners of the Mercedes-Benz E Class sedan, 10.5 percent own the BMW 5 series, and 9.5 own the Audi A6.
Using the data that is described as “very encouraging” according to a Hyundai Spokesman. Hyundai is hoping to directly challenge other luxury automakers with the new Genesis Brand.
Furthermore, it was also noted that although 45 percent are in their 50s and 22 percent in their 60s. There was an increase in younger customers by 23 percent being in their 40s.
The rise of buyers of younger buyers was compared to the Genesis EQ900’s predecessor, the Hyundai Equus, which showed an increase of seven percentage points.
With figures presenting a positive future for the Genesis Brand, A spokesman says that “We hope this trend continues until the EQ900’s release in North America, the Middle East and China in the first half of next year,”
