The Kia Rio is now approaching a new generation, making this its fourth with code name YB. Today Kia Motors just now released their new renders of what the future holds for it. Lets take a look!
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]After so many spy shots with some heavy camouflage we get to see some official renders made by Kia Motors. Unfortunately we are not ready to see the final production model just yet, the all-new Rio is schedule to make its world premiere in Paris at the 2016 Mondial de l’Automobile on September 29th.
The front has now a more aggresive design with a bit longer hood and the headlight design. We see it has one projector for high and low beam and right next to it the turn signal. Surrounding the projector and at the top we find LED DRLs giving that aggresive look. At the bottom, still large in size, the grill but the fog lights are now taking a new shape. At the back we can see what looks to be some LED tailights with new shape. Also the side mirrors are not longer at below the windows but now at the bottom of the A pillar and the C-pillar has gone through some changes. Safety technology and connectivity features will also be available on the all-new Rio.

The next generation will hit production at the end of 2016 in Europe and for other regions will be announced at the launch event.
We dont know which powertrain this new generation will get but we can assume the 1.6L GDI engine will be there, but rumors are that we might see a new engine here and it might have forced induction. Are we ready to see the new 1.4L Turbo engine on this new Rio? One thing to mention, Kia is just mentioning the 5 door model in this PR and its calling it Rio, not Rio5. Kia taking out the sedan model for the Rio SUV looking?
