Along with its brothers Rio and Soul, the Kia Carens also known as Rondo will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:6px;”]Kia recently announced further details of a wide variety of upgrades that will be installed on Carens MPV. By October, right after it’s unveiling at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the technological updates are expected to be available throughout Europe. Kia’s goal to add more value to their vehicles is very prevalent by enhancing the Carens appearance and functionality. By Kia continuing to bring their latest models up-to date with the latest model designs, safety, connectivity and in-car ambience, there is no reason why not consider them a solid option amongst other competitors.
Sales wise, the Kia Carens has been growing a steady but positive pace since it’s introduction in 2013. The Carens seems to have a good hold in the large family segment of vehicles, the reason perhaps is that much like the Sportage, the Carens is in between full size family van and a more compact SUV. More than 11,500 Caren models sold in Europe in the first half of 2016 representing a 1% increase over the last year. Upgraded technology and aesthetics will help Kia continue their expansion in sales of the Car, which has contributed to the best-ever six month period in the first half of 2016.
In discussion the upgrades of the Carens there are a few highlights that immediately caught our eye. The more pronounced exterior features of the vehicle are the revised front and rear bumpers and fog light designs, their signature “tiger nose” grille which became very popular in the Optima. Other potential upgrades that will vary on the trim chose are newly designed 16”, 17” and 18” aluminum alloy wheels so you can cruise in style, as well updated front and rear lights for a night-time drive with the family. Interior wise the Caren’s seven seat interior have been enhanced by all new seat upholstery, the option available are a new knit cloth pattern, or a luxurious diamond-woven leather pattern. Accent wise the interior trim has a new metallic or gloss-black color throughout the cabin as well as the sporty carbon effect on the dashboard. Lastly the interior options color options are available in either black or beige.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:6px;”]Overall, the updated 2017 Kia Carens seems to hit the sweet spot in finding a middle ground between a full sized van and SUV. It seems to meet the needs of both large to medium sized families who need the space, MPG, and would like something nice. If I had plans for a large family, the Carens would be on the top of my list.
