Facelifted Optima has been suffered small design changes, with a new Kia Cadenza inspired front grille, new alloy wheels designs, as well as redesigned front and rear bumpers. Despite this changes, had the same front headlighs & taillights (except for a new interior design stripes). According to the images, the Hybrid variant will keep the Active Grille instead of a new grille.

The current Optima Hybrid is powered by an efficient Nu 2.0-liter GDi hybrid engine mated to a 38 kW electric motor. The gasoline engine delivers maximum power and torque of 156 ps and 19.3 kg.m.
The 38 kW electric motor also delivers 8.6 percent improved maximum power, with maximum torque of 20.9 kg.m (205 Nm). It achieves a combined rating of 18.2 km/ℓwith 16-inch wheels (17.5 km/ℓ with 17-inch wheels). Like with the Sonata Hybrid, there are no improvements.

Improved interior, with the latest safety & technology systems will apply on this facelift. Full LED headlights, smart cruise control & autonomous emergency brake, alloy wheels, colours, etc…
