After we have published a low quality pictures of a mysterious big van spotted inside of a parking lot in South Korea, today we have the confirmation with a new set of spy shots, thanks to SHM Studio, that the next-gen Kia Carnival (codenamed as KA4) is already in the works.

Looking at the pictures, the new Carnival will suffer a big change in terms of design as it looks more boxy than the current one, with a “Soul” inspired front design. I’m pretty sure that this new Sedona could offer a more rugged look (maybe a X-Line variant) to conquer more customers that look for a SUV.
On the powertrain side, we can expect updated engines, like the new Theta III 2.5-liter engine and it is probable that a Hybrid version could be in the works. According to our friend SHM, the prototype has test car provisional plate until September 2020, so as test mule cars are testing until the final release, we can expect a debut time around the third quarter of 2020.
