The high-performance Sport variant of the All-New Genesis G80 is expected to be released soon despite some informations that said this times is not going to be a G80 Sport variant. Today we have a new spy shots of a prototype that is still under camouflage even after the current G80 is already on sale. In this new picture we can see the same as we have seen a few months ago, the wind turbine type alloy wheels (check the pics below), so what do you expect?

It replaces the existing 3.3 Turbo-based G80 sport as well as the 5.0-liter V8 model sold in overseas markets. The all-new G80 Sport will be equipped with a 3.5-liter gasoline twin-turbo engine. It’ll have a maximum output of 420 horsepower and a maximum torque of 57.0 kgm, and is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The original 3.5T has a maximum output of 380 horsepower on the G80 as well as a maximum torque of 54.0 kgm, 40 horsepower and 3.0 kgm difference, which is close to the V8 engine. The Genesis G80 was sold in the North American market with a line-up of 3.8 gasoline, 3.3 turbo, and 5.0 gasoline. The G80 Sport is expected to unleash the strength of the new platform in terms of driving performance.

For the recently discontinued G80 5.0 model, a 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine is applied, resulting in a maximum output of 425 horsepower and a maximum torque of 53.0kgm. The 3.5T engine has a strong low-rotation torque, allowing for a comfortable ride.
The 3.5 turbo engine is equipped with two turbochargers, dual fuel injection injection (PFI + GDi), central GDi injection, low friction cylinder, integrated thermal management (ITMS), and water-cooled intercooler. In particular, by applying a water-cooled intercooler, it is easy to maintain the cooling performance in summer or in limit driving, so performance can be maintained.
