Kia XCeed, a stylish crossover based on the third generation of Europe-only Ceed hatchback, has only landed in the markets accross Europe a few months ago and we can say is a total success. Could Hyundai use the same bullet and launch a Hyundai i30X? Well the guys at Schulte Design created this rendering which I need to say is pretty sleek.

Kia Ceed range is currently produced as a hatchback (CEED), station wagon (CEED Sportswagon), shooting brake (PROCEED) and as a crossover (XCEED). Its brother from another mother, the Hyundai i30, is produced in three body versions: hatchback (i30), station wagon (i30 CW) and liftback (i30 Fastback). Extending this family with a crossover seems to be a step in the right direction.
German magazine Auto Motor und Sport published a visualization of the Hyundai i30X crossover , which could become the brand’s new model for Europe. Visualizations from the Schulte Design studio have often proven to correspond to later reality, which naturally leads us to believe that the Hyundai i30X crossover is also a realistic picture of the near future.

Interestingly, the design of this crossover made by german designers is not based on the i30 model. With the XCEED base, they used the Santa Fe SUV front end and the result is good. There’s no any confirmation from Hyundai officials about this i30X, so in the current situation we can only speculate about a new crossover from Hyundai.
However, despite it might not come finally is a good exercise of style about a future model that could sell a lot of units if Hyundai decide to canibalize inside it’s own brand and compete against XCEED.
