Today we want to share with you a new rendering image of the Genesis G70 facelift that was made by South Korean Youtube Designer AtchaCars. After yesterday we have seen the G70 Shooting Brake for the first time, it is time to have an idea of how the refreshed mid-sized luxury sedan could look after receiving the new Genesis family look. What do you think?

What we know so far?
The Genesis G70 Facelift exterior design has been significantly changed in order to meet the new Genesis family look as well as the new powertrain premiered on latest Genesis GV80 SUV and G80 sedan. The G70 facelift is expected to be released during the 1st half of 2021 with several updates in & out, like a 10.25-inch wide display, a new powertrain or up to 19 colors, something that we already have seen in the new GV80 & G80.
The front part of the G70 partial change has the same quad lamp scheme with the same two lines as the new G80 and a newly designed crest grille. The turn signals are integrated with daytime running lights, apparently the G70 facelift won’t include the two-line side fender repetears (this is also something that the GV70, G70 derivative SUV won’t get too).
On the back, the license plate moves to the lower bumper along with the quad rear lamp, which has recently been revealed through a test car. The place where the existing license plate was mounted is replaced by new Genesis Lettering. The side part improves the completeness by changing the details of the decoration on the fender.

Inside, the infotainment monitor is expanded from the current 8 inches to 10.25 inches, and the new steering wheel with touch is applied to change the atmosphere. It’s also expected that it receives Genesis Connected Services as well as latest security aids.
Powertrain replaces the existing 2.0 and 3.3 Turbo engines with the new Smartstream 2.5 and 3.5 Turbo engines, which have increased efficiency. The 2.5 Turbo has a maximum output of 304 horsepower and a maximum torque of 43.0 kgm. The 3.5 turbo has a maximum output of 380 horsepower and a maximum torque of 54.0 kgm. Eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive will be available.
Meanwhile, Genesis CEO William Lee said in a recent interview with a foreign news agency that the G70 partial change wagon will be released. The G70 wagon is aimed at the European market and will be released late 2021. It will compete with the BMW 3 Series Touring, Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate, and the Audi A4 Avant.
