According to insiders, Hyundai Motor’s Ulsan Plant 5, which produces the G80, plans to enter the G80 electric vehicle or eG80 to the production line during the Chuseok holiday (1st of October).
After the final test during the fourth quarter of this year, the G80 electric vehicle is expected to be released in the first half of next year. It has been reported that a small number of test cars are already assembled and undergoing road tests. In addition, the Genesis emblem is also engraved in the center of the wheel.
The third is that there’s no muffler exposed to the outside or any type of exhaust system. The G80 electric vehicle test car that was captured earlier this year was not much different from the internal combustion engine test cars, but the recently captured test car can be seen that the muffler is removed and now completely covered with camouflage.
The first EV to be launched under the Genesis brand, the eG80, has already been trademarked on September 11th, last year. In addition to the G80, the G70, G90, and GV80, and the upcoming GV70 and GV90, they also applied for the trademark registration of the electric vehicle version.
The G80 electric vehicle, which Hyundai has considered to be important enough to postpone the G80 Sport, which is almost finished, is expected to be an electric vehicle that can replace the internal combustion engine based on a fast charging time and boasts a mileage of at least 500km.
