Do you remember the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N we spied during the winter? Today we have a new spy video courtesy of our colleagues at CarSpyMedia ahead imminent release at Hyundai N Day.
What we know so far?
Well, we spied Hyundai Ioniq 5 N once again and this time just outside the Nürburgring. The prototype is looking rather sporty in its N colors and the N slogan “Never just drive” and was seen testing together with an Kia EV6.
From the outside there are basically no visible changes except for the lower ride and the wider low-profile tires. The stiffer suspension and bigger brakes will help the high-performance electric vehicle keep on track. The wider tires forced Hyundai to add some small fender flares on the wheel arches as we can see even if they don’t really look production ready.
Hyundai’s first ever high performance electric vehicle was caught during final tests at Nürburgring. It is expected that Hyundai reveals the production IONIQ 5 on July 15th at Hyundai N Day alongside with some kind of teaser of the second high performance vehicle from the sub-brand, the IONIQ 6 N.
We think that the N inspired camouflage is hiding some sportier looking bumpers in order to match the exterior with the expected power bump.
The interior will most likely also get a few N touches with sport seats and a sporty steering wheel and of course some N logos.
Power wise it could pack the 585 hp configuration that’s already been found in the sister model from Kia, the EV6 GT. Or do you think Hyundai has even more power planned for the Ioniq 5 N?
