Revealed for the first time in December 2019, KIA is already finishing the K5 facelift according to the latest pictures of the pre-production models captured testing near the R&D Center and our colleagues from NYMammoth dare to create a rendering of how it will look, what do you think?
Captured near Hyundai-Kia R&D Center, the updated K5 was spotted heavily camouflaged so it is difficult to see differences. Despite that, it is easy to see the new headlights and taillights design differences that affects the main part of the design, or even the new wheels.
Talking about the powertrain, we don’t expect many changes compared to the currently line-up despite a small fine-tuning to make the engines more efficient and probably adding a higher density battery pack to increase the electric range on the K5 hybrid model.
As for the inside, looking at the upcoming KIA facelifts, we can expect to use the same curved dual display applied to the latest Kia models that was premiered by its big brother, the K8. It is difficult to know when KIA plans to release this facelift but we don’t expect it before Summer 2024 in South Korea, with European and US-spec models arriving by end of 2024.
What do you expect for the updated KIA K5?
