Revealed for the first time in December 2020, the South Korean luxury brand is already preparing the Genesis GV70 facelift according to the latest pictures of a GV70 captured by Woopa TV inside a parking lot. This prototype shows new headlights graphics, similar to the G90, new bumper design back and forth and new alloy wheels. Now our colleagues at NYMammoth created a new rendering of the rear design.
Captured near Hyundai-Kia R&D Center, the updated Genesis GV70 was spotted heavily camouflaged so it is difficult to see differences. We cannot appreciate any bigger differences that affects any part of the design as this is probably in an early stage of development.
Talking about the powertrain, we don’t expect many changes compared to the currently line-up despite a small fine-tuning to make the engines more efficient and probably adding a higher density battery pack to increase the electric range on the Electrified GV70 model. Probably like with the GV80 facelift, the diesel will be discontinued in favor of a mild-hybrid (MHEV) option.
As for the inside, looking at the upcoming GV80 facelift, we can expect to use the same 27″ inch OLED display that will be premiered by its big brother. It is difficult to know when Genesis plans to release this facelift but we don’t expect it before Summer 2024 in South Korea, with European and US-spec models arriving by end of 2024.
What do you expect for the updated GV70?
