The Hyundai IONIQ 5 has only been on the market for 3 years but is already getting an update and now we spied it testing their facelift model in Europe thanks to our colleagues at SH Proshots.
We expect the exterior changes to be rather discrete with only minor changes to the front and rear bumpers. We can see how the position of the parking sensors now are in a different place.
Possible we will also see some new graphics for the light units as well. Also expect a few new wheel designs when its time for the debut and maybe we will also see a wiper at the rear window. The missing wiper is something that many owners have complained about.
We also confirmed that Hyundai will add an N-line package for the IONIQ 5 in combination with the facelift.
The interior will also get an upgrade with new software for the infotainment system and possible some new fabrics for the seats. Don’t expect to many changes for the battery and electric motors though. Only some fine-tuning from what we have heard.
It is difficult to know when Hyundai plans to release this facelift but we don’t expect it before Summer 2024 in South Korea, with European and US-spec models arriving by end of 2024.
