Genesis GV60 facelift 1

Genesis is preparing the GV60 facelift despite the exterior design was already leaked a few months ago, now our colleagues at SH Proshots captured the interior almost undisguised with a few surprises. First, the new steering wheel with orange stitches and orange boost button that could be for the Magma mode (this button is yellow in the current model).

This update might not bring significant body or feature changes in the exterior. The GV60’s design, known for its futuristic shape and unique aesthetic, may not see big design alterations for the facelift model, including new wheel designs or color palette changes. The interior will suffer a bigger upgrade, it will borrow from the recently updated GV80 and GV70 models the new 27″ inch OLED display while the screens for the camera mirrors now have less bezels.

Production Timeline and Global Sales

The GV60 facelift should be released during summer 2025, with production expected to start in February 2025 in South Korea, with a U.S. launch anticipated for mid-2025 as a 2026 model year product. In the other hand, Genesis is also preparing the first-ever high performance model, GV60 Magma, which is expected to enter production by the third quarter of 2025. Sales are slated to begin in Korea, with a European launch to follow in the fourth quarter.

Powertrain Updates

The current Genesis GV60 offers two powertrain configurations, both featuring dual motors and all-wheel drive. The Advanced AWD version produces 314 horsepower and 446 lb.-ft. of torque, while the Performance AWD variant increases output to 429 horsepower (483 hp in Boost Mode) and maintains the same torque. It is expected that the GV60 Magma will reach at least 650 hp as the IONIQ 5 N.

It uses a 77.4 kWh battery, supporting fast charging that can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes with a peak rate of 350 kW. The Advanced AWD model has an EPA-estimated range of 248 miles, and the Performance AWD model has 235 miles. The updated model will received a new battery pack with 84 kWh that will help the GV60 to have a longer range.
