Kia Motors’ K3 Tops 20,000 Mark in Pre-order Sales

Despite the economic slump, Kia Motors’ brand-new mid-sized sedan K3 passed the 20,000 mark in pre-orders. Kia Motors announced on November 10 that the cumulative pre-order sales of its brand-new K3 sedan reached 20,034 units on November 5. It took just 34 days for K3 to surpass the 20,000 mark in pre-orders after being launched in September.

Kia Motors had set this year’s domestic sales target for K3 at 19,000 units. Pre-order sales have already exceeded its annual target. Kia Motors explained that customers have to wait for about a month to take delivery of K3 after signing a contract due to a recent hike in orders.

One of the key factors behind the strong demand for K3 includes the fact that the government decided to offer the benefit of a reduced individual consumption tax by the end of this year.
