VW boss regrets Schreyer departure

As you know, the new and exciting image turnaround that KIA has been experiencing since 2007 is the result of their Head of Desing, Peter Schreyer. And, as you also know, he was the design leader for Audi before he signed with the Korean automaker.

Now Ferdinand Piëch, Head of the Supervisory Board and Chairman at Volkswagen, made clear that his company should not have let the talented designer go to KIA Motors, saying literally, “We should not have let him go”. This is quite a surprise, because Piëch isn’t that kind of person who makes open admissions of fault.

Maybe next time Volkswagen will value better their employees, in order to avoid them to end up working for the competition… hopefully now at KIA, Schreyer seems to feel fulfilled.
