Im sure a lot of people know Manny Pacquio for his excellent career in boxing, but what many people might not know he was once a Television host, Congressman and even pastor, but now Manny is about to face a new challenge on his life and that will be a coach for the new PBA team Kia Motors.
it seems an agreement was met with Manny Pacquio and the company Columbia Autocar Corp., distributor of Kia vehicles in Philippines, for him to become playing coach for Kia Motors team.
Currently they face a roadblock, Pacquio will have to go through the rookie draft to be able to play directly for the Kia Motors team. This will make him the oldest rookie to play on the 39-year history of Asia’s first professional basketball league.
Pacquio mention that according to the rules, there might be a chance that he wont have to face the rookie draft, he said “’Yung rules naman daw nila, pag playing-coach pwedeng lumaro sa team (They say the rules allow you to play for a team if you’re a playing coach),” he said. “So ‘yun ang aming pinag-aaralan ngayon (So that’s what we’re looking at right now).”
Kia Motors has not released any press conference since its application was approved for a new PBA franchise last month.
