The development of the first Genesis SUV continues as we have received a new set of spy shots of a new prototype, that according to the sources could mean a second stage prototype model due to its improvements and new design additions.

Usually Hyundai & Kia uses 3 prototype stages, with the 1st stage using a silver/white exterior colour car, with different coloured bumpers and some details missing. The 2nd stage adds a fully uniform paint and new details suchs as wheels and chromed details added to the body.
The 3rd stage remains to closer to production cars, while in the 2nd stage we can still see things like non-production tailights (could be because the design decision remains unclear).
According to the sources and this stages, the Genesis SUV production could be revealed during September or October.

What we know so far?
Genesis unveiled the GV80 concept as a fuel cell vehicle at the 2017 New York Auto Show. It’s slated to be the first crossover added to the brand’s SUV lineup, despite the brand need to have two extra crossovers to balance a product menu that has been carried by sedans that are highly rated but have struggled to build sales momentum in a truck-dominated market.
The prototypes showed similar lanes to what we have seen on the concept car and confirmed that the production version will use elements of the GV80 concept like the Quad LED headlights and taillights or the front grille, but today we want to talk about the interior.

Inside you will find a new details that will be premiered on the Genesis Brand, like a Gear Selector that now is a circle and probably will emerge at the time of start. We have seen this solution on Jaguar and Land Rover models as well as on Ford’s.
Also the steering wheel looks totally different compared to other Genesis models current on sale, and the infotainment system appears on top of the dashboard with a widescreen tablet-type system.
