After sharing leaked picture of the Genesis G70 Shooting Brake variant back in March, today we have new pictures of the G70 wagon that despite still has sticker camouflage, allowed us to see its proportions and we need to say that this is far better to we have imagined after seeing the first leaked picture.

What we know so far?

There has been a lot of rumors lately whether the Genesis brand should be offered in Europe (expected at some point during 2021) and this could very well be one of the models that should be interesting for Europe and also exclusively.

The Genesis G70 Shooting Brake would then compete against the recently revealed VW Arteon Shooting Brake and the regular G70 of course against the Arteon or even Mercedes C-Class. As for now its hard to tell you how much the cargo space will be but it looks more of a life-style wagon than a car you buy for maximum luggage.

Looking at the rear design, it will have the same third brake light with a V-shaped design placed in the top of the rear window, like the GV70. The front end is of course also camouflaged due to the fact that the G70 already received a facelift giving it more of the looks of the larger G80 and GV80. Apparently even the rear taillights looks very similar to the G70 Sedan.

In the latest images, we can see that the tailgate fall could be more pronounced than expected, while Genesis still wants to hide using some float, so we are not sure if it will be as striking as rivals like the Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake or more classic as Mercedes C-Class Wagon.

About the powertrain, there are rumours that for the European market, Genesis could use the 2.5 and 3.5 instead of the 2.0 and 3.3

From this new angle, the G70 Shooting Brake looks much better
