Kia unveiled the front and back design of the new EV6 through teaser images a few days ago and our colleagues at NYMammoth created a rendering showing how the final model will look. Thoughts?
In particular, Kia applied a daytime driving light (DRL) reflecting the new family look ‘Star Map Signature Lighting’ on the new EV6, creating a more dynamic and future-oriented feeling.
Launched in August 2021, the EV6 is the first dedicated electric vehicle model of Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicle-only platform E-GMP-based.
The EV6 won the Korean brand’s first ‘European Car of the Year’ in 2022 for its eye-catching design and excellent electrification, followed by the ‘The North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year’ in 2023.
In addition, the high-performance version of the EV6, the EV6 GT, won the ‘World Performance Car of the Year’ at the 2023 World Car Awards, and the EV6 is recognized for its competitiveness in the global electric vehicle market through various awards and favorable reviews, including the world’s three largest car of the year.
Kia will release specific product information such as the design and detailed specifications of the new EV6, which has enhanced its product quality this month.
“The EV6, developed based on the electric vehicle-only platform E-GMP, continues to receive various awards and favorable reviews in the global region. In the future, Kia will strive to meet the diverse needs of its customers through differentiated products and services.”
