Beginning in the first quarter of 2025, Hyundai EV owners who purchased or leased their vehicles on or before January 31, 2025, will be eligible to receive a free NACS adapter (with shipping included). This initiative will provide Hyundai drivers with access to more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers across the United States, significantly expanding charging options for its EV lineup.
Eligibility and Models Covered
The complimentary NACS adapters will be available to owners of the following Hyundai EV models equipped with CCS ports:
- Model-year 2024 and earlier: KONA Electric, IONIQ hatchback, IONIQ 5, and IONIQ 6
- Model-year 2025: IONIQ 6, IONIQ 5 N, and KONA Electric
Hyundai drivers will be able to request their free adapter through the MyHyundai owner portal. Detailed instructions, terms, and conditions for claiming the adapters will be announced in early 2025 via HyundaiNews.com and other communication channels.
Enhancing the EV Charging Experience
With the NACS adapters, Hyundai owners will enjoy the convenience of Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network, making DC fast-charging more accessible. This initiative aligns with Hyundai’s strategy to support EV adoption by addressing customer needs.
